Great fuel efficient Generator, But LOUD.
Purchased this generator after a freak summer power outage on sale from DTO. Since I've had it, I've had 2 power outages, with the most recent being after an ice storm in upstate NY. It took a few pulls to get started in the 20* weather, This unit performed great. I had a single heavy duty extension cord ran in through a window, to my kitchen and had my Samsung side by side fridge, a chest freezer,the ryobi 6 battery charger, and a small space heater plugged in. Not ideal for a single extension cord, but it worked fine. Cable stayed cool and never got hot. The Generator itself never really struggled. I kept the Auto Idle switch turned on as this thing is LOUD. It would rev up occasionally and only for a moment when the fridge or freezer would cycle. I feel it is very fuel efficient. Power was out for just over 24 hours and the generator ran the entire time, with only being shut off to top off fuel. I filled it to the brim at 8:30 pm, and when i came out at 10am the next morning, there was still at least a gallon of gas in the tank. I think overall it used a little over one full tank running non stop with the small electrical load that i had on it. I will be installing a "through the wall" outlet kit soon so i can utilize the full 30amp TT-30 circuit.

I guess Quality Control means nothing anymore
Purchased at HD morning after big ice storm. Muscled it home, unboxed and set it up, added lubricant/gasoline, followed directions, pulled the rip cord...and nothing. Neighbor came over and tried...nothing. Another neighbor who is a gear head looked at the unit...took an hour but he got it running. Problem: The spark plug wasn't getting wet with fuel If it weren't for my neighbor, my basement would have flooded. WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT IN A MOMENT OF CRISIS.

As good as any other
Great generator it works well. The circuit board went out shortly after I got it and had to file a warranty claim. They held true to it I received a brand new one a little over 30 days later. A little long to wait but was very satisfied. Something t really like is the screen in the fuel inlet on the carb. It catches any sand or trash that makes it into the fuel tank and saves alot of time not having to clean the carb. Easy to start. It's a little louder than I was expecting not as quiet as the closed frames. The problem I am facing now is finding a replacement ignition coil. Even on the ryobi site. Over all I am very satisfied with my purchase and warranty claim. I've had many generators and they all come with problems this one is no different.

4000 Gen Inverter
Got today. Was a little rough on the start up. Not sure if there was a clog in the line or carburetor. But got it running and tested power all good. I did not get a wheel kit with the generator.

Amazingly powerful and compact.
Easy to use and has great power. We bought this for our camper and used it all summer long without any problems. It was great quality and easy to fit into the storage space on the outside of the camper. Nicely sized and not too heavy making it simple and easy for not only my husband to set up and use but also myself. A breeze to get it fired up, use and then get turned off and packed away. Powered multiple things and lasted for our entire trip plus some.

Generator is the best
I love this Generator. It starts up right away and has enough power to do the things I need it to do. Runs for a long time. Looks sleek and not super heavy. Would definitely recommend for the price.

Ryobi just keeps amazing me with products!
After assembly and fluids it started on the first pull. Runs smooth on both energy settings. I had it set on energy save setting and plugged in an older 13 amp circular saw. It immediately kicked up to speed and just as quickly leveled back down and ran fine. I would give 5 stars, but this generator is a little louder than my other 4350 watt open inverter generator. Overall it is a great deal, as usual with all my Ryobi products.
